Are you looking for ways to get involved with Section activities? Well, look no further. The next opportunity is June 29 through July 1, when the Section will hold its annual long-range planning retreat which, this year, is open to all Section members. The Section retreat is being held in conjunction with the Florida Bar’s Annual Meeting at the Marriott World Center in Orlando and will discuss various opportunities for member involvement. Please contact your Chair-elect, Michele Diffenderfer, for more details. Also, mark your calendar for the Section’s Annual Meeting on August 23-25 at Amelia Island.

Need more? The CLE Committee is actively planning the Annual Meeting and, as always, needs assistance. If publications are of interest, the Treatise is developing an editorial board, and coordinating with existing and potential new authors. The Section can also submit an article a month to the Bar Journal, and the Section Newsletter is published 4-5 times a year. But wait, that is not all! The Law School Liaison Committee is increasing its interactions with Florida’s law schools, both students and professors, and the public interest committee is already planning next year’s conference. And, if you have other ideas, please let me or someone on your Council know. There are no (valid) excuses for staying on the sidelines. See you soon!
