The Endangered Species in My Backyard
Sponsored by the Public Interest Committee of the
Environmental and Land Use Section of the Florida Bar

Michael Yaun, Deputy General Counsel of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and Andrew Aloise, with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Law Enforcement discussed the topic “The Endangered Species in My Backyard.”

This workshop explored what the regulations and statutes applicable to protected species mean to the average homeowner. The topic is particularly timely because of recent changes to FWC’s imperiled species rules. In addition, Laurie Macdonald with the Defenders of Wildlife will talk about wildlife-friendly development and living with wildlife. This workshop was open to the public.
