The Internet Committee is pleased to announce the creation of
a Section LISTSERV, a.k.a., a computer assisted mailing list. This mailing list of
member names and e-mail addresses will be used to send messages and announcements at once
to all section members who choose to subscribe. Website announcements will be broadcast on
the list and each member will be able to participate in the discussion. The list can be
used by all subscribers to discuss recent developments in the law or to get questions
answered. No commercial solicitation please!
Subscribers can join and leave the list as they see
fit, but there is a good chance that you will actually find the messages interesting. The
messages sent (or posted) to a mailing list will be saved in files known as list archives
for future reference. These archive files will be available to Section members.
This mailing list will be operated by LSOFT international,
creator of the LISTSERV technology. The mailing list will be highly interactive. When you
send a message to the mailing list, LISTSERV will distribute it immediately and you can
expect most subscribers to receive their copy within 1 to 20 minutes, depending on
location and mail system.
This will be a private list only available to Section members.
Information on subscribing will soon be posted on the Sections website
(www.eluls.org) or you can send an e-mail to help@eluls.org. The projected start date is
February 1, 1999. Get on the Net!
